Global Topics was originally designed for English Language Learners. However, it has been translated and adapted for Spanish Language Learners and Korean Language Learners to develop reading and critical thinking skills through discussion of global issues. Each book has 30 lessons focused on a variety of topics that intertwine interesting facts and opinions with discussion questions in order to guide students to think critically, gain new insights and build confidence in speaking with newly gained vocabulary and expressions. Teachers can use this curriculum to stimulate lively and natural conversations through debates, simulations, and speaking activities included in each lesson.
